Audrey spent the winter of 1944-1945 in Nazi occupied Netherlands. Food was scarce and she suffered so much from it she was rejected from ballet school in the following year. But look what happened in her destiny. When I see this film of her, it brings tears to my eyes. The young woman who starved and was lost, was picked up again by the World's most renowned dancer Fred Astair. He remarked dancing with Audrey was unforgettable.
