Course information

This course is inspired by Rudolf Steiner and his description of Manes a Persian and Christian Teacher. 

According to the clairvoyant Rudolf Steiner a great initiate named Manes called a council of the great initiates of the past ages to consult with them on how to sustain the ancient wisdom and to bring it to a further glory.  

 

Rudolf Steiner goes on to say this was all in preparation for what became the Rosicrucian stream that later flowed everywhere in European culture affecting science, and religious philosophy and education and eventually transformed Europe.

In this series our focus is on the teachings of Manes, Light against Darkness, and how this teaching progressed into living discussions of pupils and teachers.  We will get a feel for the Persian/Arabian cultures from the 4th century to the 10th.

Known as Manichaeus Corbicus. Mani, in Latin Manichaeus, (216 -v276), of Iranian origin was the prophet and the founder of Manichaeism, a gnostic religion of Late Antiquity which was once widespread but is now extinct.
