S

Saba "The Queen of the South"

The Queen of Sheba came to Solomon from the ends of the earth, from the periphery, to question him of wisdom, to which he provided every answer to her satisfaction, but for her life and love remained directed towards the Chief Architect -for Hiram Abif! and of the science and word by which the temple may be built, and so with the wisdom of the starry world the path is sought, in time and space, as our soul also descends into the depths of matter: – For she is "dark but comely".

Why Hiram and not Solomon?

The answer: Solomon's wisdom was old - as he said, Wisdom increased suffering! The Queen wanted excitement and joy! The work was certainly not done! Even if Jehovah had said: My work is 'completed', for her it was not! And so she needed a Co-Creator, and that was one that could comprehend her soul, and that was the gift of love that streamed between them. It is human: and God said to Eve in the Garden: 'it will take a long time', and so it did take a long time - and we are the children, all of us are the children of the 'long-time'.

Salt

The Student asked the Teacher, Has salt any mythological relevance?

The Teacher answer:

When we think 'salt' we put into motion within our soul everything associated with the process. So salt, even though it is small, is no less in itself for it, is one of the most dynamic things to contemplate. So 'salt' can, for example, represent mythology. We think mythology plays a small role in our life until we focus down on the little elements within us, and raise them up microscopic fashion, then we see a world within a world. So 'salt' is then a symbol for mythology. Our world is 'salted' with mythology....and not too much or too little either, for it must not overpower, nor be neglected or we can't taste it or in other words, come to 'sense it' in a likable manor. Salt is then our inner Ego, as a mythological portion of every lifetime or thought, or feeling, and spread within the atmosphere of everything, even to the stars. So the human ego is both a mythology of himself, and understands 'the flavor' of his own 'salt' or 'mythology, is not the same in others, for he senses that two 'salts' cannot be in the universal being, nor can all the 'salts' be together so something is removed, so this 'salt' that is given by us, and this 'salt' must also be 'sensed' by our self and so we love the flavor and not because of the 'salt' alone, but because from our side, we have added something that was 'missing' , and from the other side of being, it is also the same, and we all first sense the world 'without' salt, and then it is magically added. In this way we rise to the level of seeing salt as 'thought'.

Secret of a Long Life

Generally speaking, all those who live long are altruists and optimists. They know neither hatred nor envy. In addition to their practice of periodic fasts and their fine diet of natural foods they also know the value of a good diet in thoughts and emotions.

E Szekely in The Essene Scieince of Healing.

Secret Rosicrucian Fire Meditation

From the Book :
'Secret Symbols of the Rosicrucians "

Ignis Philosophorum Invisibilis & Secretissimus Occultatum.

' Strive for the fire,
Seek the fire
So you will find the fire
Light the fire
Put fire to fire
Cook fire in fire
Throw body , soul and spirit into fire
Thus you will have dead and living fire
Out of which will come black, yellow,
white and red fire
Bear your children in fire
Feed give them to drink, nourish them
in fire
So they will live and die in fire
And be fire, and stay in fire.
Their silver and gold will become fire
Heaven and Earth will perish in fire
And become finally a fourfold
philosophic fire '

Seeing Auras

The students asked the teacher:

I cannot see auras but I feel the warmth or coldness of people. Why is that? Do you understand what I mean?

The teacher answered:

Oh yes, I understand. perfectly. The auras will become visible at the right time.

It will arrive like a baby through the wonderment, for in loving kindness is the greatest treasure, and being occupied with it without 'seeing' is the sign of our true faith . It is how we conquer our insecurity that counts towards our capacity to see wisdom working ahead of us with inspirations as a gentle and perfectly forming misty rain that reveals our true thoughts and true willing to us. Our feelings come from within.

Seeing Outside and Looking Within

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart…. Who looks outside dreams; who looks inside, awakens.

~ C.G. Jung

Seeking the Spirit

Seek with this expectation: expect nothing, but create the space of the spirit in you, and all that can be added to you, will be added to you.

Shape and Measure

The World has the Shape and Measure of Your Own Mind....

From the Book of the Wise

Sharing Wisdom

"The spirit is joyful for us in our dedication to the work of the spirit of wisdom. Our sharing in the earth gives further joy to all beings joined by the spirit of wisdom."

From the book of the Students of Spirit

Simple People

"One of the biggest misconception is that simple mined people don't ask questions, but in truth the simple minded ask the most questions. There-fore the learned man who doesn't ask questions must reform his consciousness so that he may regain the mood of soul of the simple minded soul that still asks and ponders."

Sayings from the Book of the Students of the Spirit

Sin

Peter asked the interpreter of the Teacher, What is sin? Mary answered him, there is no sin, but that which you act according to your own corrupted nature.

From the The Gospel of Mary Magdalene

Situations

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized."

- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Small things and Big Things

Its the small deeds of kindness and love that count the most, for the greatest is in the least. No matter where you are, you have the seed of the spirit life in you, use it wisely, but also, use it. No matter how small the deed appears to you, it may change the life of another.

Social Life

A healthy social life is found only, when in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living”

Rudolf Steiner

Solutions

Every puzzle created must have a solution.

A Proverb of the Wise

Song of the Elephants

Who is as heavy as we, or as strong?

Ho! but we trample the shambas down!
Saw ye a swath where the trash lay long
And tall trees flat like a harvest mown?
That was the path we shore in haste
Ripping the branch and bough to waste
Like rocks shot loose from a mountain side!
Therefore hear us:

(All together, stamping steadily In time.)

'Twas we who lonely echoes woke
To copy the crash of the trees we broke!
Goad, nor whip, nor wheel, nor yoke
Shall humble the will of the Ivory Folk!

Once we were monarchs from sky to sky,
Many were we and the men were few;
Then we would go to the Place to die—
Elephant tombs that the oldest knew,—
Old as the trees when the prime is past,
Lords unchallenged of vale and plain,
Grazing aloof and alone at last
To lie where the oldest had always lain.
So we sing of it:

'Twas we who lonely echoes woke
To copy the crash of the trees we broke!
Goad, nor whip, nor wheel, nor yoke
Shall govern the strength of the Ivory Folk!

Still we are monarchs! Our strength and weight
Can flatten the huts of the frightened men!
But the glory of smashing is lost of late,
We raid less eagerly now than then,
For pits are staked, and the traps are blind,
The guns be many, the men be more;
We fidget with pickets before and behind,
Who snoozed in the noonday heat of yore.
Yet, hear us sing:

(All together, ears up and trunks extended.)

'Twas we who lonely echoes woke
To copy the crash of the trees we broke!
Goad, nor whip, nor wheel, nor yoke
Have lessened the rage of the Ivory Folk!

Still we are monarchs of field and stream!
None is as strong or as heavy as we!
We scent—we swerve—we come—we scream—
And the men are as mud 'neath tusk and knee!
But we go no more to the Mountain to die,
For the blacks head us off and the guns pursue;
Bleaching our scattered rib-bones do lie,
And the men be many, and we be few.
Nevertheless:

(All together, trunks up-thrown, ears extended, and stamping in slow time with the fore-feet.)

'Twas we who lonely echoes woke
To copy the crash of the trees we broke!
Goad, nor whip, nor wheel, nor yoke
Shall humble the pride of the Ivory Folk!

Soul & Body

Once we accept 'bodies' as having a soul then we begin to contemplate re-embodiment. We look for evidence, or signs of this. Everyone and anyone should be able to determine the fact that it is naive to think the material has the intelligence - even though we say for instance that metals have a sort of memory etc, but aside from these, what else deepens our understanding enough to look for the soul in the spirit? And that means the material has some kind of specialization that comes from a source that is continuous, and also, as in fertilization, it can impregnate material substance with dynamic force building power.

By contemplating in this way we add to our knowledge a foundation upon which to build up our ideas so that we eventually can come to perceive the working of creative spirits. So can we come to believe in such a way that we can begin to predict the workings of invisible powers that do in fact also seek to work with special physical substances, shall we say, proteins or other specialized gases. Invisible though they are, they are the source from which 'bodies' come.

The densest parts of a man come from the water within the body, and so the densest parts of the world have also come from the finer parts. Now we have a consistent pattern that can speak well of re-embodiment. Our bodies, no mater how material they become, It doesn't start from the beginning with materiality, it start in the finer and end again in the spiritual, and so one can ask? How does the coarse and denser material come into being? How are they there? The answer: they are a a bi-product of the activity that has preceded it. And we can call this activity 'Astrality'.

So we have materiality and astrality, the material and active spirit, and between them, holding a balance so to speak is the aetheric.

Now one can ask this question, how do they work together in me and the world? What is my role in all of this?

Soul Worlds

We look into each other's worlds with as much love as we can so as to know each other and with as much love as we can, so we can know and learn and discover the richness of the world's we represent for each other that are as rich and abundant as the world outside.

Soul-life Wisdom

Soul-life Wisdom is the substance that holds all moments together and harmonizes all thoughts, moods and emotions towards the goals of the life and being nature in each. Wisdom comes and teaches every individual soul what it needs and feeds it by sending rays of pure life-filled light.  He who listens to soul-life wisdom and follows what she teaches will find everlasting life and harmonizing peace.

Spiritual Development and the Impossible

Where there is will, then we make it happen~but nothing is more impossible than to expect the gods to do for you what you must do for yourself, from your own free will - spiritual development is also the way to know how to love our soul and its manifestation in us.

It seems impossible to us at first, for the soul sees our physical self as "a bag of tricks" and a waste of good spiritual power - for the soul may chose to work in the spirit too! And so it is the first and last stages of our unfolding is to bring forth that power which is impossible when you understand how it has to work...from the impossible to the manifestation.

Spiritual Human Nature

Spiritual Human nature is invisible and unfathomable.  It is time and space beyond time and space. The soul is both the portal and the foundation, the temporal and the eternal. Just as one's soul knows like soul, so the soul in knowing nature confirms itself and seeks further the powers of its own creation. The forming of the I of creation is at the same time the I of destruction. Why? Because this I is ever dying, and loves death in that it becomes again, as it discovers its unfathomable nature.

And so the wise have said, the souls that seek love will find it, the soul that seeks knowledge of itself will find the fields of the soul being nature.

Spiritual Science and the Web of Natural and Cosmic Connections

“Humanity has no other alternative before it today than either to learn again about the whole web of natural and cosmic connections, or to let both nature and humanity degenerate and die out. As in the past it is imperative that our knowledge should penetrate to the actual structure of Nature.” —Rudolf Steiner, Koberwitz, 1924

Spiritual Wisdom

Spiritual wisdom is more ancient than anything present in the physical for it comes from the Time before the world was made.

Only a person with an awakened soul can know this as a truth.

From the Book of the Wise

Stars, Planets, and Elements

"As there are stars in the heavens, so there are stars within man, for there is nothing in the universe which has not its equivalent in the microcosm." (the human body). In another place Paracelsus says, "Man derives his spirit from the constellations (fixed stars), his soul from the planets, and his body from the elements." Paracelsus

Stepping Out

It takes courage to step out from the pack and seek your own destiny.

From the Sayings of the Book of the Wise

Symbols

Symbols are the language of Master Teachers. Why? The world is a symbol where once stood gods and goddesses. Masters converse with gods and goddesses where others see only the symbol and speak with nothing.
