~ The Voice of World Around You~

When you take the time to draw on your listening-imagination, you will begin to hear this gentle voice at the heart of your life. It is deeper and surer than all the other voices of disappointment, unease, self-criticism and bleakness.

All holiness is about learning to hear the voice of your own soul.

It is always there and the more deeply you learn to listen, the greater surprises and discoveries that will unfold.

To enter into the gentleness of your own soul its voice changes in tone and fills you with new visions of your future.....you will see:

Your life is no longer consumed by hunger for the next event, experience or achievement - it calmly waits, knowing it will happen.

You learn to come down from the treadmill and walk on the earth - no more in panic or a rushing about.

You gain a new respect for yourself and others and you learn to see how wonderfully precious you are to others, and the meaning you have for them,

You begin to see through the enchanting veils of illusion that you had taken for reality - they were illusions - now you see the truth of life everywhere, in the birds, trees, rivers and mountains - they are all truths in completeness, and they all speak out to you!

Look! See! Understand!

You no longer squander yourself on things and situations that deplete your essence.

You know now that your true source is not outside you - all you will be is within you.

Your soul is your true source and a new energy and passion awakens in you.

A Word About Discussions

A good discussion needs some conflict to get it going. Warmth is also tension, and too much spoils the food. A female touch of kindness is welcome, but so is the strength and power of the male. Each has to take on the challenge of truth, sincerity, kindness, boldness, or forgiveness, each in turn and at the right time. It is the dance, one should not be afraid of it. But the skill is owned by the artist, where others will fail and must fail for lack of temperament and skill. I like to think like this: the greater the tension, the better is the feeling which comes from resolution. It helps in all tight situations - and it's message is this: keep working towards the goal of resolution, keep your heart alive and speak what is there, and feel how wonderful everyone will feel when the Whole-ness of Spirit has resolved the parts.

Ancient and Modern Initiation

The student asked: What is the difference between the two?

Teacher:

The main difference is that modern man has a power of thought today that wasn't present in ancient times. And this power of thought will continue to increase in strength and power.

The so-called black magic of ancient times too has changed as well. Previously it had to do with pro-creativity, today it has to do with the fertilizing power of thoughts in the soul. Everything is now shifted to focus on the consciousness.

Being Honest and Real

The mental gymnastics—of effortlessness...

. What a waste of effort. How much more useful, how much more joyful, how much easier to actually be truthful, to celebrate our efforts, to create communities around our desires and not live with the shame that the desire for effortlessness brings, Maybe all the effort that goes into being effortless could be used, in loving ourselves and loving each other better. How transformative being honest could be.

Being True

Treason, as between men, is considered worse than theft;for even thieves despise it. He who betrays his country is considered fit for death.

But I tell you:he who betrays his own soul has no longer any link with honesty, and there is nothing sure concerning him, except that he will go from bad to worse. And evil grows little by little; he who is faithless in small things will ultimately lose all honor.

Therefore, strive eternally to keep faith, not telling secrets nor inquiring uninvited into those of others; for the Great Offense is grounded on an infinite variety of little ones -- exactly as Great Merit is the total of innumerable acts of self-control.
