I am wondering if Chod has any similarities to the Manes in regards to "cutting through". dualism's.

The argument against the Manichean's is the same one I read about Hegel as opposed to Tradition in that its not static but rather a continuum.

Yes, that Chod is "Also known as "cutting through the ego," (of the lower nature) to achieve ""Perfection of Wisdom" sutras, which expound the "emptiness" concept of Buddhist philosophy. Thus one finds the light of a new (spirit) self.
