I am wondering if Chod has any similarities to the Manes in regards to "cutting through". dualism's.

The argument against the Manichean's is the same one I read about Hegel as opposed to Tradition in that its not static but rather a continuum.

Yes, that Chod is "Also known as "cutting through the ego," (of the lower nature) to achieve ""Perfection of Wisdom" sutras, which expound the "emptiness" concept of Buddhist philosophy. Lecture 3 in 134 Council of Manes., the 'emptiness' is also active, in that one crosses 'the great dessert ' or the 'great sea'; and so the soul, through mapping the terrain of the spirit realm is able to prepare, in a practical way, for what lies ahead. Thus one finds the light of a new (spirit) self.
